The Value of Her Kisses...

Brooklynn, my "spirited" 5 year kindergartner, has started bargaining with kisses. At bed time for instance she will be on the couch and she will say "If you carry me to my room, I will give you a kiss in the morning" WHAT? She's putting a pretty high value on these kisses.... Why not just say, "Please carry me mommy". I hope this isn't foreshadowing what is to come in her teen years. Heaven help me!

Just Text Me:

At Girl Scouts, I had to confiscate Brooklynn's fake cell phone because she wouldn't stop fake texting. Now, what you need to know is, this isn't one of my old cell phones that I let her play with. This is a flip open cell phone made of paper, colored with crayons, with a keyboard handwritten on it (glitter on the front). It takes pretend pictures and everything. Her friend made it for her. How bad does she want to be 15? Apparently, VERY BAD!!!

"Mom, I'm Sick"

Owen came into my room a few nights ago around 12:30am. He said, "Mom, I threw up in my bed, I tried to sleep around it, but I can't" OH MY GOSH!!! What makes him think he has to sleep around throw up - Disgusting. He was sick three more times that night. The next morning I asked him "So do you think you can go to school?" (Of course I was kidding) His response, weakened by the sickness "I think I can make it" Such dedication this kid has. I told him I was kidding and sent him back to bed.
